2nd time reading. So beautiful. This is my favorite Austen novel and I can't get enough of it. Wentworth's letter at the end is simply the best.

This was my first time reading Persuasion, because I'm a terrible Austenite. It was absolutely wonderful as expected. The beginning was a bit slow, but I found myself yelling at the book constantly in an attempt to get the characters to just talk to each other about their feelings.

Communication is key, y'all. I'm still not sure why these characters can't just listen to me and change their actions.

Not my favorite Austen book, but still very good. I enjoyed the slow build up (a classic Austen style) and the wait was worth it.

It takes about two chapters before the protagonist's narrative perspective is established. Once that happens and Anne is our sole subject, the novel becomes hard to put down. I was surprised by how devoted I became to Anne Elliot by the end of Volume One, despite the rocky start.
