4.5 Stars. Not quite Pride and Prejudice, but still really good. I'm going to have to work my way though the rest of Austen's work.

classic jane austen man. I loved this one more than I thought I would. there were all the best parts of a jane austen book: yearning, sarcasm, gossip, & a confession of love from the male love interest that had me giggling & kicking my feet. you’re a real one, jane🫡

This was utterly delightful! I have only read Pride and Prejudice before this one, and I am absolutely falling in love with Austen's style. She is so succinct and has such strong, quick plots. Her books fly by, but with so much wit and fun. Excuse me while I go devour the rest of her stories.

I read this book because I got it as a gift, and I cannot thank enough for that, I didn't know what to expect from it, however, it gladly surprised me. The book starts kind of slow for my taste but once you get to the Lyme parte It catches you and starts a journey with Anne Elliot. Loved the book, looking forward to reading more of Jane Austen.
