I initially picked this up because one of my favorite authors contributed a story to this anthology, and it was one of my favorites along with a few other standout pieces.

These short stories are, well they are short, and about a third of the entries are part of various author's established series that would have been more enjoyable to readers who have read those series.

I don't know if it's possible to love every story in an anthology, but for the stories I did—the authors somehow managed to pack tons of emotions into so few words and make me want more—they made me glad I picked this up.

While my favorite stories scored higher, overall the entire anthology averaged three stars.

This review is for Aleatha Romig's Devoted.
A Book a Day: Color Theory 2 anthology does not disappoint, there are a nice array of stories by many popular Indie authors.

Aleatha Romig does not disappoint again in her short story, Devoted. The story is a novella for her Dangerous Web series. If you have not read it yet, don't worry, a few spoilers are contained (mainly the couples names and their children), not too much beyond what you need for some context. It starts quickly and in true Aleatha fashion, keeps you hooked to the last page.

The Layover by T.K. Leigh

I loved Foster and Teagan’s story! These two had chemistry from moment they ran into each other, but there is also a history between the two of them that I loved getting little bits and pieces of the past.

Their story is really one that shows you shouldn’t judge someone based on their appearances. They have grown up in a different world than you and a different life but that doesn’t mean they don’t experience struggles or challenges to get where they are today.

I loved the connection and chemistry between the two of them, especially after spending a layover together. I am hoping this isn’t the end of their story because I would love to know more about them both.

If you’re looking for an enemies to lovers story this is one to check out.
