An easy to read gay romance with its main distinction being it includes a trans man as one of the main couple.

Incredibly cute, slight toxic masculinity.

I wasn't sure about this story at first, because Derrick was SUCH an asshole and I have very limited patience with his type of bullshit toxic masculinity. But I am really glad I kept going, because for once I thought the redemption arc was well done. Derrick actually has to work for forgiveness and the happily-ever-after (
SpoilerI really really loved that Ginsberg didn't immediately let him off the hook and resume their relationship just because of one "big gesture"
).

I enjoyed it but wish there'd been more than one sex scene
