I very much enjoyed this book. It is not fast paced, and I was not sure where the story was going for a long time, but I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. I wanted to keep listening to this book, and was excited to listen on my commute and while doing chores, but it wasn't urgent. Personally, I really liked the pace of the book because it was not what I was expecting, it helped build anticipation. I am quite excited for the next book.

I loved The Winner's Curse more than I thought I would! I especially enjoyed the tension and angst between Kestrel and Arin.
The writing was very straight forward which made it a quick and easy read! However, I feel like the characters lacked depth because of this. I hope we explore them a bit more in the following books! Can't wait to read them!
