Sigh. I've been trying to read this for months. I loved J. Kenner's other Stark Series' but I just couldn't get through this one. I think what really bothered me was how faux pas the main characters were making their relationship, like it was incest....but it wasn't...they weren't even related.at.all. So all the self loathing about their relationship just bugged me. I also couldn't get past Dallas' casual sex. The opening scene with the orgy set the tone for how I felt about him and it was disgusting!

Was given a free copy of this book by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I liked this book. It was a quick read once I was able to start reading it. I liked being able to see all the old characters and get introduced to Dallas.

I wonder what kind of story Nikki's father is going to bring.

Can't wait to start Deepest Kiss.

Dirtiest Secret is the first book of J. Kenner's that I've read and I can't believe that it took me so long to finally read her! It was amazing and nothing like what I expected it to be. Dirtiest Secret was so much more in every way and I loved that!

I had to admire Jane - she's so strong even after all she's been through. She's determined and tough and a fighter through and through. Jane might be a little messed up and not what is considered normal, but I wouldn't have wanted her any other way. I loved her strength, passion, spirit, and will. Jane is an excellent heroine and I'm can't wait to see more of her.

I love to love my heroes and depending on the way I feel about the hero, that can sometimes color the way I look at the rest of the book, so when I say that I love to love them - it might be better to say that I NEED to love them. I want to want to end up with the hero and when I first met Dallas, I wasn't sure I would be able to say that. Of course, that was before I really got to know him and there's no doubt the man can be so frustrating you want to pull your hair out sometimes, but just like there was more to the story that what I expected, there was more to Dallas as well.

He is an incredibly good man - he's strong and loyal and protective and selfless, especially when it comes to Jane. Dallas would do absolutely anything for her and he would do everything to protect her - even if it was from himself. He might not always seem like the best guy, but he is the perfect one for Jane and he is definitely a hero that will steal your heart just like he stole mine!

Dirtiest Secret is sexy, forbidden, and dirty. It's full of secrets, heartbreak, passion, beauty, and love. It's a heart-stopping read that will get your blood pumping and have your mind racing. Dirtiest Secret was intriguing with a few mysteries that made me never want to stop reading and eager to read the next book!

Dirtiest Secret is the first book in the S.I.N. series, it's told in Dallas and Jane's POV, and although Jane and Dallas do end in a good place, it will leave you wanting more!

A really good start to the S.I.N. series by J. Kenner. For years Jane has been in love with Dallas but a shared trauma from their past has kept them apart. With all the failed relationships and past therapist trips between them, Jane is finally ready to fight for Dallas. But his secrets aren't done and when he finally comes clean will Jane stick around? I really enjoyed the story, intrigued at where the series will go from here, but I did have some issues.
Spoiler The trauma that Dallas and Jane went through was when the were 15 years old. During this time they had sex and I was just a little creeped out about the detail included in two 15 years old sleeping together. Definitely not as much detail as when they were older but still, more then I'm comfortable with. I realize that kids that age to have sex, but since this isn't a YA story I would have been ok with more closed door descriptions.
Can't wait to see where the story goes from here!

No me estaba convenciendo mucho al principio cuando hablaban sobre los detalles técnicos de la organización del protagonista pero, el final de libro me atrapó para empezar el otro.

I think this is my least favorite book of J. Kenner I've read. I've read all her erotic ones and loved them and for that reason alone is why I read this book. I'm not totally against reading a book where step-siblings hookup if they became step-siblings later in life and weren't raise as siblings. But when they become step-siblings at a young age and practically grow up as such is where I get a little weirded out. And that's just one of many reason I didn't really enjoy this book. I didn't like the suspense/mystery aspect of the book, I've never really been a fan of those genres. Even the sex couldn't distract me from all the damn questions that were going on. This book is definitely way different then the other book by J. that I've read. And as much as I may not like it, I'll still read the rest of the series because I'm dying to know how it turns out. Ugh.

We'd tasted forbidden fruit seventeen years ago, and we'd paid a heavy price.

Many of my friends have recommended J. Kenner's work over the years, but Dirtiest Secret is the first of hers' I've had a chance to read. Maybe it was because of that gorgeous cover. Or many it was because of the promise of forbidden love. Either way, I am happy to make her acquaintance as much as I am kicking myself for waiting so long. Not only is her writing extremely sensual, but her storytelling is an example of why she is so popular in this community. She managed to surprise me and for someone that is well read when it comes to erotica, that comes as a very pleasant surprise.

I'm not haunted by pain, but by passion. I feel denied. I feel cheated. Because what was perfect and right and saved us in the dark was forbidden at night.

I feel like this review has me eating my words when it comes to a certain popular troupe floating around right now. In fact, I have posted about how I generally loath romances of this nature. But once that admission was made I was titillated by it. There has only been one book (the first one I read with this troupe) that had me thinking every other story with this element was a pale imitation. I was so wrong. Maybe it's because I didn't expect it but I am totally for it. Especially since it's so damn hard to ignore the absolute longing between Dallas and Jane. Not only sexually but emotionally. You can really feel their hearts bleeding across the page.

She was his lifelong obsession, his dirtiest secret, his deepest love.

But what has me hooked to this story is my hero Dallas. He is unlike any hero I've read before. Why you might ask? Besides his moniker as The King of Fuck...yup, I'm gonna pause and let you marinade in that a bit, he is a kind of a unicorn. Why? Well let's just say that he is not at all what he seems. In fact, once this little tidbit about our hero was revealed I was equal parts shocked, intrigued, and desperately wanting to know more. I never thought that this type of admission
Spoilerthe hero suffers from erectile dysfunction and yet none of his conquests are aware. Seriously. It's wicked genius.
would be something that can be sustainable in an erotic series, nonetheless, but I've never read of any such predicament in this genre and for that I tip my hat to Ms. Kenner. Towards the end the drama between Dallas and Jane felt a little predictable, but it wasn't a bad thing. I am still excited while we await for Hottest Mess.

I am a fan of J. Kenner so when I had the opportunity to read and review an ARC of the newest book I was excited. After finishing this book I not quite sure how I feel about the story. It is well written which is what readers have come to expect from this author, but it is not quite what I had pictured from this character. Throughout the book the author continually points out that the two characters are not blood related (siblings through adoption only) and so their relationship is not taboo. I got the feeling that perhaps the author was trying to convince the readers of that fact because she was undecided herself. This is the first book involving these characters and there is a cliffhanger, so perhaps this is all to set up what is yet to come. I really enjoy reading books by this author so I will be looking forward to the follow-up.

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This did not effect my review and the thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
