I am loving this series and the Ruby Dixon vibes I get from the shared aimilarities of interspecies relationships that don't seem to work at first but click into place with a little bit of consideration and effort. I also really enjoy how the FMCs so far do not change themselves but are also mindful of the customs to which they are marrying into as they start their new lives.

I don't know why I decided this series was worth returning to. I really shouldn't have. I do think I liked this one slightly more than the first book, but I couldn't tell you why.

4.25/5. Would probably rate it higher if there had been a little blip at around 80% as common, just for a little bit more angst in their relationship because they were just so sweet. Loved it more than the first in the series, too.
