This is a decent read, it has a good pace and plot, I wouldn’t say it really packed a punch in the feels for me but still a good book. I’ll definitely continue the series, some of the side characters seem like they will have good stories.

5⭐️’s!!
I literally have nothing to say. I’m speechless right now.
I have so many feelings about this book. But I know one thing for sure, I enjoyed ENJOYED reading it. And the ending was crazy asf. That I don’t think that I’ll move on unless I complete the whole series.
And I really wished that Lachlan had more chapters.
I will forever be in love with Mackenzie. She was like a cold shower after a long hot day in the desert. *omg I need to have some sleep*
I’m not excited for Sasha and Ronan book but I have to read it.

DID NOT FINISH

DNF 22% meh

I skipped so many chapters to try and chase the end because I detest not finishing a book, but the ending was a bit of a flop too.

Lachlan and Mackenzie were so boring!

‼️No cheating, there is ow drama ‼️

It’s 3am and I gobbled this up in one sitting — it was just that good. This book was such a yummy read, and what I appreciated most was that it didn't follow the usual overly cheesy mafia romance formula.

The chemistry between Mack and Lachlan? Off the charts. Their banter, the tension, the emotional undercurrent — it all just worked. The story felt fast-paced without being rushed, and the darker aspects of the plot added depth rather than feeling thrown in for drama.

Now, the only reason this doesn’t get a full 5 stars from me is the random plot twist dropped in right at the end. Totally unnecessary. The story was already strong and made sense without that last-minute reveal. The villain monologue added nothing and felt out of place — honestly, it could’ve been cut and we’d lose nothing.

That said, I still loved the ride and I’m really excited to keep going with the rest of the series. If the other books hit like this one, I know I’m in for a good ol’ time!

Pretty sure Lach would have been fine with Mack telling him about Talia right at the beginning of their relationship, and the plot twist with Mandy really came out of nowhere. But otherwise, I liked everything in this book.
