really wanted to like this.
mostly written fine but too many weird references where you can tell the author thinks they know what teens like and are about but clearly doesn’t (and also does it in a way that makes every character wretched and entirely unlikable.) too much “I’m not like other girls .” and too much “he was a jock but Different .” shit that doesn’t make sense (a few too many to list tbh) and a plot that honestly is frustratingly unbelievable.
i’m sorry but i very much finished this out of spite.

Quite literally one of the worst books I have ever read.
Writing was atrocious, juvenile, and awkward.
Characters were flat and unrealistic.
Plot was predictable and wholly uninteresting.
I really just wanted a fun slasher book, but this couldn't even deliver the bare minimum.
