We all know the story of Hades & Persephone. We're familiar with its beauty and tragedy.

Demeter and her disastrous control issues set the tone of this midly re-imagined myth. She is far worse than we could ever imagine.

As always, Hades gets a bad rep for the hand that was dealt. Forced to rule a realm of darkness and sorrow. Cursed to never know the warmth and joy of light. Until Persephone of course.

We know this.
We love this.

Now make it sapphic af!

*Beware of reviews that claim this is more than it was. It is dark, as advertised. The dub-con is definitely not non-con. Context matters and consent was definitely dubious not nonexistent.*

I really like the idea of this book but the execution left a little to be desired for me.  The epilogue is glorious though

Had some potential and it ended off pretty sweet but the balancing act between NONconsent and dubious consent was not as nicely navigated as it should have been. Hades is really hard to like at first because of how things went… and honestly you could have eased back on the dark and edgy and it would have been an amazing book. Instead it just seems like a switch of character without the visible character depth?
