I mean I got what I wanted when I downloaded this. I wanted a quick mafia romance with more smut than romance, but even then it was ehhh. Also I haven’t seen a child introduced to a plot and then thrown away so quickly since that kid in Friends. 😂

“I love you, my little sun. My solnyshko.”
I wind my arms around his waist and bury my face in his chest. “I love you, too . . . my Mikhail.”

This wasn’t as enjoyable as the first book in the series, but to be honest that’s what I typically feel with series. Again it was an arranged marriage trope which I did love. I did love the relationship that developed between Mikhail and Bianca, it did feel very natural the way that it built up gradually. I love that the author included some diversity - not race related but more on the disability/inclusivity side of it. If you have read the first book you’ll know that Mikhail is incredibly disfigured from being tortured. Bianca also has her own struggles which I will not reveal because it would be a spoiler. I don’t think I’ve found a book that has these type of things in for a long time. And I’m the first one, Roman has to use a wheelchair and crutches and a cane as a result of an injury. Overall, it wasn’t an awful second book just slightly less likeable than the first.

The softest, sweetest, cutest and the most wholesome mafia romance book I have ever read. Everything in this book was so achingly sweet and comforting and I loved every second of it. The plot wasn't much exciting because it was mindless but the main characters made the story and romance beautiful and exceptional. It was simple, genuine, pure and too sweet.
