While I did enjoy this, it really is not a necessary addition to the original story. It's nice to see mental illness taking the spotlight for once, but Adam honestly has some moments where he is just such a stereotypical toxic straight man that at times it was hard to feel bad for him. Yeah, Mia broke his heart and the pressures of sudden fame really get to him, but the moment that really made me cringe was when **minor spoiler** they were in the train station and he had a panic attack that lead to him vividly describing wanting to throw Mia against a wall and beat her.
I do feel bad for Adam in some ways, and Mia was definitely wrong for breaking up with him the way she did, but I don't like the victim complex Adam plays into, basically comparing his broken heart to Mia losing her entire family as if those things are equal. I just think that yeah Mia made a mistake with how she handled their relationship, but Adam's trying too hard to paint himself as the victim, not really considering the tragedy Mia went through.
Where She Went is mostly enjoyable, but If I Stay is better as a standalone.

Za mňa kniha celkom v pohode, síce nebavilo ma to čítať až tak moc ako prvú časť, stále to bolo fajn, no a znova sa mi páči že je písana akoby ako ta prvá, že niečo je v prítomnosti, a niečo sú nejaké spomienky. A samozrejme že som spokojná ako to napokon dopadlo, inak by som to ani nedočítala

I was very angry at first to see that mia and Adam didn’t even talk anymore so I kinda didn’t want to read it, but Gayle Forman is just such an evil good person and I love her writing so much. I love this series so much
Nice follow-up to If I Stay - dealt well with survivor's guilt.
En este libro volvemos a la historia de Adam y Mia, tres años después del aparatoso accidente que tuvo Mia, pero esta vez se narra desde el punto de perspectiva de Adam. Adam ya un gran famoso del rock y Mia, una gran chelista. Mi opinión sobre este libro, es que, no sé, lo sentí muy lento, había partes donde Adam tenia recuerdos (flashbacks), al igual que Mia en el primer libro, pero las sentí muy lentas, no tuvo como esa forma de enganchar al lector como Mia. El libro me pareció, como dije anteriormente, muy lento, al principio fue como que dando detalles que, bueno digamos que si tenían importancia, pero se encontraban algunos que no, capítulos completos donde Adam narra todo el flashback que no tenia que ver con la trama. La trama empezó a engancharme (sin mentira alguna), al momento en que se encuentran Adam y Mia. En futuro leeré de nuevo el libro, no se si lo sentí malo por algún problema que tuve y no sentí ese contacto que tenían Mia y Adam. Pero eso es lo que pienso, aun así, el libro es bueno, tiene sus momentos de shock y de saber que sucede con este amor, a pesar de la fama, los "gropies" y obstáculos... Eso pienso, Lo Que Fue De Ella un libro muy bueno para saber como superar todas las adversidades de la vida...
I hated Mia in this story, I felt like she was the bad in the movie. She made Adam suffer and that lead him into making bad decisions. I also felt like Mia didn´t had good reasons.
