Finding My Pack

Sorry, could not get past first chapter.

A person from the streets, specially somebody who has just being attacked, would absolutely not just trust strangers. The author just wrote her fancy without any regard for research or real victims. She should be scared out of her mind, super suspicious of why men are so apparently nice and "helping her", should would afraid of any physical touch or anyone invading her personal space. she would definitely not allow a man into the bathroom with her, where she would be enclosed and without an option to run or escape if needed.

if you are a person who is afraid of hospitals because you dont want social services to know of you, you DEFINITELY are not the trusting type to just let strange men brush your hair or take your hand.

A brilliant read

Let me just say, Kitten is a minor for one and these men are adults. Second, Kellan is a doctor, has examined her and the fact that this is potentially headed in a romantic direction just does not sit well with me at all. She’s not even skittish around these random men after dealing with a sexual assault. Also, her name is Kitten. Like no. We’ve also been led to believe she raised herself with no adult intervention so how does she know how to read? At this point, I had to dnf because one KITTEN IS A MINOR and these men according to the reviews are centuries old. But even if they weren’t, they’re adults. That’s enough for me to put the book down with no regrets.

Also, just wasn’t written that well.

I did not like this book. I did not see this listed as YA but it's very much YA. I thought there was a mistake in the age (it's hinted at in this book) but that was never revealed. It's weird because the theme of this book is on the mature side!

Also I thought her naivete was over the top. The author made her childlike and it's creepy. She had no idea what some very obvious things were (I guess in an attempt to make her look so sweet and innocent) but she had great knowledge of other things. It made no sense since she worked in a place where she has a lot of human interaction. Yet she had no idea how silverware worked. She also spent a lot of time in the library, enough that she can do so much, but also not enough (because it's endearing, bleh). She had a photographic memory and the mental capacity of a five year old most times. She taught herself a twelfth grade education when she was only 12. She referred to her age by saying she counted summers. What?! She carries around bags of candy that she cries MINE about. I rolled my eyes when she didn't know how to hang up a cell phone. Girl bye. She even took her stuffed animal to the doctor to get sewn. There is no way she is older than 5. She grew up on the streets not in a stinking bunker!!!!! She had a public job!

I also felt like the way she was treated for being poor was so ridiculously over the top! Come on. Everything was laid on too thick. It made me think she was just interpreting every interaction in the wrong way (for example a mom tells her kid it's time to go and the main character assumes no one wants to play with her because she is dirty and poor).

Mixed feelings

I have some mixed feelings about this one. On one hand, it's an incredibly compelling story with a FMC who has more depth than any other "Mary Sue" that I've read. It's rare to find a character who is so inherently good while maintaining layers of realism. But on the other hand, the writing style is somewhat choppy and unsophisticated so that it seems anomalous with the feel of the story itself. The world building is solid, but the characterization of the guys in the harem is a little weak. With a harem of this size, it's simply impossible to naturally get to know each guy any way other than superficially. There is a great foundation laid, however, and I expect that the character development will truly blossom in the next book. Regardless, I've enjoyed myself, and I don't think that I could put this series down at this point even if I wanted to.

This book was amazing! I loved every character and they all were so different from each other! I believe this was a wattpad story to begin with and I cannot believe it! this was such an amazing story! And I cannot wait for book 2!

DNF

It was too much guys but still that was not the problem. The problem was that all the guys were mixing together, like there were no strong characters or personality differences which is why even when I was reading the guy's pov, it was too easy to forget which was which. Ultimately, highly confusing which made me lose interest

I got this recommendation from another author and to tell you the truth, I almost didn't read it because the cover didn't interest me but boy am I glad I did!! I was blown away by the story. I ended up staying up until 3 am reading about Kitten and her boys. I fell in love with the characters. It is heartwarming, sweet with some suspense thrown in for good measure. I can't wait for the next book!
