Good information, but this wasn’t quite as relevant to me as “Forgiving What You Cannot Forget.”

It was still great narrating by the author - she always makes me feel like we are sitting at her kitchen table, talking about life.

I heard someone else say that this is like the “you’ve got it girl”, processing emotions version of Cloud and Townsends famous book on boundaries, and I agree with that. If you are looking for a more practical step by step guide, C&T would be the way to go. But if you’re looking for someone to say “I’ve been there, and it was painful, and this is how I got out”, this is a great option. I always love Lysa’s style of writing and she clearly works hard to research her topics. I appreciated the addition of her therapists comments to give a professional opinion. This is a great read for anyone struggling to let go and set boundaries (so probably everyone!).

⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book was very religion heavy &overall boundaries for pleasing God. If you’re not religious or don’t want to hear that then you should pass on this.

* All the information was good but I felt like they just kept saying the same things over &over &in different ways.

* Something I’m sick of with these kinds of books is that it tells you what to do but not how to deal with the emotions from doing that. I know what I should do, but how do I not feel bad/guilty about my decisions?

* I thought the intro &end of the book was touching. It felt like the author was truly speaking to you.

* Overall, it was more religion based than I was expecting &it didn’t give me the perspective I was looking for but I still enjoyed it.

Themes:
* Christianity
* Consistency
* Personal growth

PHENOMENAL!!! I NEEDED this book in my life and the timing was perfect!! The fact that I have 454 highlights speaks to how incredible and life changing it was for me. I do not normally read self help but I am extremely thankful and grateful for my beautiful daughter who recommend it to me. 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷

Relationships are wonderful until they're not. Is it unloving or selfish to set a boundary? Are Christians ever called to walk away from a relationship that's no longer safe or sustainable? The author helps you learn how to stop the dysfunction of unhealthy relationships by showing you biblical ways to set boundaries and when necessary say goodbye without losing the best of who you are.

Many times while reading this book I felt like the author was speaking directly to me and was able to express in words exactly how I was feeling. This is a book that I will read again and again!! If you are a people pleaser or struggling with a difficult relationship then this is a book for you! I cannot recommend it enough and it deserves infinite stars!!! 💫💫💫💫💫

For someone who struggles with boundaries and people pleasing this book called me out in every way possible. It felt great to be seen and understood but was also even more helpful to hear how to change things. Could not recommend enough

WOW!
It is okay to walk away and say goodbye, sometimes it’s just hard to do that. This book taught me how to walk away

Off to have a funeral and then but it behind me
