Liked it but had to resort to the audiobook for the majority of it.

Many surprises, twists and turns. Loved the fact that it was based in DC.

I found this to be the most gritty of all of Dan Brown's novels thus far. While I thought the novel had interesting historical context, I did not find this book to be as fluid as his others. The ending was also not my favorite. Generally, an entertaining read.

This book was chunkier than the previous two, but one it got going the drama in it was very captivating and I wanted to continue reading.
This book is way way darker than the previous two, and I think this is because the main antagonist is crazy- although I could have done without Dan Brown describing his naked body in detail.

The twist between him and one of the characters was very surprising and unexpected, the way the story was written, I didn't see it coming at all and I had to put the book down for a bit to process what had just happened.

However, I still enjoyed this book. Dan Brown always fits a story around a well known city and I like this about his writing.

After reading the previous books by Dan Brown, it wasn't a surprise pattern, the usual mysterious call, the usual national security question, the ancient mysteries unlocking as the puzzle and he in the end connecting the pieces of jigsaw to solve and save the world.

I admire the emphasis that author gives to history and the way he narrates to make us understand it. I would say this book is similar to previous books like Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons.. although i would rate them better than this.

In this one he explores the masonic way of life, their rituals to a greater depths. Also takes us through the tour of Washington D C, its important monuments and its stories. But i have to give it for his solid ground work and research here again, he talks on the ideologies of the various religions and beliefs, he mentions Vedas, Upanishads, Brahman. In his neotic science conversations which is about the metaphysical psychology he highlights how mind played an important factor for the ancient generations, from Newton to Einstein how they devised ways to measure and understand these metaphysical phenomenons... The advancement in Science seems all about deciphering what mind is and understanding our true self and spreads a message about universal consciousness
