This one was a wild ride. A little more suspenseful and creepy than usual.

"Stephanie Plum may not be the best bounty hunter in beautiful downtown Trenton, but she's pretty darn good at turning bad situations her way . . . and she always gets her man. In To the Nines, her cousin Vinnie (who's also her boss) has posted bail on Samuel Singh, an illegal immigrant. When the elusive Mr. Singh goes missing, Stephanie is on the case. But what she uncovers is far more sinister than anyone imagines and leads to a group of killers who give new meaning to the word hunter. In a race against time that takes her from the Jersey Turnpike to the Vegas Strip, Stephanie Plum is on the chase of her life."

I really enjoy the Plum series of books. However, after 9 books, why do we still have to read Lula, Vinnie, Connie, Morelli and Ranger's bios EVERY TIME! We know already!!

another enjoyable Stephanie Plum book! Gotta love that drama between Morelli and Ranger!

These books are so easy to read, I'm flying through them.

Oh, Stephanie! When you are mixed up with Ranger and Morelli at the same time, and then you throw in a trip to Vegas with Lula and Connie how can I not give you 5 stars!

Stephanie Plum is an unusual bounty hunter. Forced to work for her cousin’s bail bond business after months of unemployment, Stephanie fell into the career that has slowly taken over her life. Not too long ago, this Jersey girl was living a quiet existence with her pet hamster, eating quiet dinners with her family in the suburbs, meeting up with her girlfriends from high school, and working in a lingerie store by day. Now? Her cars are being blown up, she’s wrestling naked, oiled up men into hand-cuffs, and she’s got an ex-hooker as a sidekick.

She’s not fearless. She’s not graceful. She’s not athletic or particularly good at her job. But what she lacks in talent she makes up for in gumption, and the result is hilarious.

Some of the Stephanie Plum books are better than others, which is typical of a series. This one, however, was particularly good. Evanovich took her typical plot and really kicked it up a notch, with a LOT more action and intrigue (though I guessed the bad guy pretty early in the game). The result was a hilarious romp across America with one of my most favorite characters.

Another excellent Plum adventure.

I love that we got to take a trip and learn more about Connie!
