A 1,5 star. I always want to read the whole book even though sometimes it is hard to get through. I got the feeling that I missed a lot and it was not just it for me. I am going to read the second book to hopeful get more information on the things I thought I missed in this one.

I decided to at least read half way and this book is so infuriating. First of all the therapist at times, I thought didn't act professionally. Ander appeared only once in half the book and Brooks, I thought he was being a little bitch and I felt like he knew her through past experiences and what she tells him, but doesn't truly know HER, like understands her without her saying it. I thought Eureka's character was underdeveloped and could've been better, while reading there were times when I thought why did she do that or say that. I think the only character I liked was Cat, but she isn't one of the main characters (Eureka, Ander, Brooks), she was the friend of the main character. Well, I didn't even like Cat, she just didn't irritate me. This was the first time I actually threw a book because it was infuriating. Sadly I bought the 2nd book first, so I basically wasted my money. Maybe if I read till the end I would have a different opinion maybe not, but I just can't read on because I feel like ripping apart the book half the time.

I finally had to call it quits. I was bored the entire time I was reading this. I have no desire to finish this, or to learn what happens. Unfortunately I had to DNF this at 71%, but I just could not continue on.

I don't know why I pushed through this book. On some level, I think I am glad I did, because the end might have been worth it - but the beginning was awful. It was slow, it had horrible characters, and way too much overdone stuff. It was not good. But the last half got increasingly better until it shattered into an intriguing and surprisingly brutal ending. So there were ups and downs.
