The content of this book is fascinating. But it's really an article worth of content. A long-form article at best. In fact, I think I read an article about this and that's why I read the book. Summary (omg spoilers): Hitler was on pretty much every drug available. The army of the Third Reich were on a form of meth, systemically issued to them. Cocaine was tested on prisoners of war to see if it would be effective as a drug for the German army. Hitler was still an awful person without the drugs, he took them to keep up his reign of terror. Oh, and then he poisoned his dog before he poisoned himself. Saved you a read!

Thoroughly researched and fascinating to view this period through a different lenses that informs so much of the events. Widespread drug use and sheer greed and incompetence. Where's that clip of Don Jr clearly rubbing coke on his gums?
