At times the plot was all over the place, but besides that, there is a tentative queer romance that I liked and found more authentic than most YA romance. Loved the characters as well as the relationships they formed.
This book took body horror to the max and was ultimately unsatisfying. It played into some annoying YA tropes that didn't match the horror tone and seemed to be on the cusp of being an allegory without delivering. Quick read, though, so yay for that?

This was a perfect ya horror novel. It was weird, quirky and had some really interesting characters.
The pacing was nice and kept me interested in the mystery behind it in combination with some action.

i liked the idea of this book and the plot! i didn’t like how many plot holes there were and how there were lots of elements in the plot that were never really explained/ very confusing. i also hated the end. there are still so many questions that were unanswered and the end was very out of character. overall, it wasn’t horrible and i did enjoy it up until the end.
