Omg. i was a little apprehensive when i started to read this hecause i dont like horror. But the grisly aspectes of it were well balanced with the thriller portions. Characters were a little flat but that’s ok they were still good. The plot was intese and gripping. I didn’t like the ending.
Incomprehensible and hard to follow. Googled it and confirmed we get no answers.

Maybe I just tuned too much out but I was real confused most of the time
I really enjoyed reading the book, and I would have given it four stars if it wasn't for the ending.
I still don't fully understand what the Tox is or how it works. I wish that would have been explained more. Especially the part about estrogen confused me? Does it react to estrogen or does that slow it down? Because the menopausal headmistress wasn't as affected but the men were worse than the girls??? Like did I miss something or?
Also for the ending, what will happen to them? Will they be okay again? Because they didn't sound very okay at the end. It felt a bit as if they would have died had the book been one page longer which is why it ended.
For the good parts about this book. It's absolutely a great horror and I love the way the girls are characterized, how they are selfish and rude and wild. They were ugly, personality wise and looks wise, which is a very refreshing thing for female characters. That does mean though, that you have to be prepared for gore.
