Historia fofa, final um pouco confuso, demasiadas cenas sexuais que nao adicionavam nada á historia, bastante facil de se ler e aprendi que houve um golpe de estado no Chile em 1973!!!

I read this one in English; it's a short jem of a book made more so because the area described is an area I'm very familiar with as my in-laws lived very close to Neruda's house. Delightful coming of age story.

La hermosa historia de amor y amistad de un holgazán cachondo. Me siento sucio.

"The Postman" of Antonio Skármeta is a touching and humorous novel involved in Pablo Neruda's timeless poetry.
Undoubtedly, what I liked the most about this novel was the relationship and the dialogues between Mario Jimenez and the poet Neruda. Nevertheless and as far as I am concerned there is a lack of historical context about the political situation of the time, in Chile.

The book that the excellent Italian language film Il Postino was based on.
A good read, funny and sad, a more satisfying ending to the book than to the film.
The initial meeting between Il Postino and Neruda is very funny ....

my name is sea, it repeats, striking a stone but not convincing it.

i really hope i missed the point of this book because, otherwise, this is just pretty pointless. this was a book with the potential of being interesting, yet wasn't. and the writing style didn't make this read any easier.

i don't see why neruda would get involved in this teenage drama.

Reread this because I have a quiz about it on thursday

reread this for school
