A great retelling of the Trojan war, as well as a biography of Achilles. I enjoyed it immensely. My only critique (if you can call it that) is that it was told solely from Patroclus' perspective. I wish the narrative would have from both he and Achilles.

Good story, good narration. I started out thinking this would be a 5⭐️ But something just fell flat for me. Achilles was boring. He wasn’t given any shining moments. Patroclus was a goody two shoes. Briseis was glossed over. The Trojans weren’t given a voice
I enjoyed House of Names more. Maybe even Silence of the Girls, although had issues with that one too.
Still overall enjoyable

Genuinely cried at the end of this book. Miller uses such beautiful writing to convey intense and consuming feelings of love, desire, and yearning. Such a speed read because I needed to know what happened next. Hooked from start to finish!
