Very poetic and well-written. I wasn’t expecting to like Greek mythology, but I really enjoyed this kind of storytelling. I thought Patroclus was pretty pathetic for most of the story, but I grew to like him by the end. I’m heartbroken by the end, but it was a really good ride.

The book absolutely breezed through the stuff I thought could be interesting and just rushed into these two meeting. I am always the first to exclaim that Achilles and Patroclus were gay, but this just didn’t do well at developing anything outside of them. Maybe it would’ve gotten better if I pushed through but maybe Miller’s writing style isn’t for me.
