This is very easily a 5 star read for anyone familiar with Greek mythology but I am sadly not the right audience for it. I was told that the book is still enjoyable without knowing the mythology, which is true but it's a bit like watching the Grammys as a middle-aged person, not recognising anyone and just there for the vibes. Except the vibes are very violent, murderous, and chaotic. Half the book is about a war that still makes little sense to me. That said, it is a very beautifully-written tragic love story underneath it all. I need something fluffy to cheer me up after this.
