This is a really good book. It's been around for ages. I remember having it read to me when I was a child. This book resonates with me because it's very important for everyone to know, even early on, that some days are bad days even on the other side of the world.

Alexander just can't catch a break. Not matter what he does, he day just seems to keep getting worse. Will Alexander's day get better, or will his entire day be terrible, horrible, no good, very bad?

Aww, poor Alexander. Maybe he wouldn't have felt so bad about his day if he wasn't so selfish:)

May 2018 - this holds up so well. Even as an adult, I sometimes want to move to Australia. Ben loved a lot of the details, while a few things went over his head.

Alexander truly is having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day where everything seems to go wrong, whether that’s the little things, like biting his tongue or wearing the clothes he doesn’t like, to the big things like falling out with his best friend and fighting with his brothers.

“Some days are just like that. Even in Australia.”

I suppose all we can do is fall asleep and hope for a better tomorrow.

Always a classic. Even for the adults that can relate.

An amazing book that amuses you but also allows you to realize that everyone has a bad day. And yes your child will see the same message.
