My favorite children's book ever! I still have the copy from when I was a kid. Poor Alexander. *contemplates the Australia tattoo I always said I'd get in his honor*

Love, love, love this book! I so sympathize with poor Alexander! There are just those days when absolutely everything goes wrong, your best friend hurts your feelings, the store is sold out of the exact shoes you want (and only the ones you want!), you get in trouble when you shouldn't, you find out you have a cavity, and there's no prize in your cereal box. Yes, those are just petty little things, but when they all come at you at once, it wears on you, doesn't it? Life just isn't fair sometimes...even, I'm sure, in Australia.

Best title ever. This was a laugh-out-loud favorite. I was past the age of picture books when I read this, but I loved it just the same.

One of my FAVORITE kid books!!! "I think I'll move to Australia." Lesson learned: Everyone has bad days - even in Australia. :)

My daughter loved this book as a child. I liked it too, sometimes we all feel everything and everyone is against us.

Sometimes you just have a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. An excellent book for kids, and it ages well.

This was one that my children especially loved me to read aloud to them because it gives such good opportunities to convey emotion with the voice. They would love to say along "terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day."
