I enjoyed the first half where Chris details his experiences while teaching English in a remote Northern Japanese town. The second half of the book, when he became more of a content creator and his YouTube channel grew in popularity, feel too anecdotal.

I listened to the audiobook version of this, and I’m so glad I did since it’s narrated by Chris himself! So it was nice to listen to his familiar voice, that british accent and his very distinct humour! It was entertaining and I really love how honest Chris was about a lot of things and didn’t just sugar coat this and that about his decade living in Japan…
