I have been following Chris on youtube since high school so it’s fun to read about his adventures on a more personal level! Took me awhile to finish because it does drag a bit towards the end, but it still was very enjoyable and worth the time!

This was a bit more of a memoir than a travel book and I'm not massively keen on memoirs. The author also comes across as quite annoying and at times condescending, his narration of the audiobook didn't help. It was a, funny at times, quick fish-out-of water story but I can't help thinking there are probably better books about Japan.
