Chris Broad’s Abroad in Japan is an engaging and very candid look into his decade-long life in Japan. I’ve since looked at his YouTube channel, and both the book and the videos have a  signature humor and self-deprecating wit as he shares his experiences from his initial days as an English teacher in rural Tohoku to becoming a prominent content creator.  

It’s filled with entertaining anecdotes that highlight the quirks and challenges of adapting to Japanese culture - from humorous misadventures in love hotels to the solemnity of witnessing the aftermath of natural disasters, Broad provides a balanced perspective that captures both lighthearted and profound aspects of his experiences.
