ooooohhhh i really liked this one. very heartbreaking but so beautiful at the same time. ugh.

Well crap, I think I am speechless right now! That was CRAZY/messed up!!!
Still want to know what's up with Dean though, but I have to wait until July :(

10/10 such an amazing story with an even better meaning

Colleen’s first novels have me in tears!! A very raw, sorrowful story that was beautifully written. My heart is with Sky and Holder

I was excited to read this book since it got such great reviews and had such a high rating. The first half of this book drug on for me and I rolled my eyes at plenty of the over done perfect bad boy/good girl scenarios. The second half did get better, but went from being overly cheesy to unsettling. The events that happened in the second half caught me a bit off guard. The overall idea of the story is a good one, however, I think that the nauseating love story ruins it. For once I would like to read about a teenage girl who doesn't instantly fall for the bad boy and have it consume her every waking minute. Overall I'd give it 2.5 stars.

Completely Unexpected. Crying My Eyes Out Right Now. Really Great Read.

Colleen Hoover, man. She smashed my heart into a million pieces and somehow managed to put it back together again. This book was incredibly heavy. I mean, most of her books are, but wow. Definitely look up trigger warnings if you've got triggers because it's intense.

It was different than the other books of hers I've read - mostly because it takes place in high school. But, it was so good. I really don't have words. Just know it was so heartachingly emotional and captivating and so incredibly good. I'm looking forward to reading it from Dean's perspective in Losing Hope.

“I live you” was enough for it to be one star tbh

First read: ⭐️ 5 ⭐️

Reread: ⭐️ 4.5 ⭐️

I didn't write a review the first time I read this book, but after rereading/listening to it the last couple days, I feel like I've gotta write something.

Here's the thing about both of these books. They are crazy intense. They are heavy and get incredibly sad and hard to read. Trigger warning to the max on these. But I also loved them. I loved how Holder and Sky's relationship was developed (it had the potential to have insta-love vibes, but given their history, I forgive it). All around, I just felt a deep connection to these characters, and I was so invested in the story. That's a huge factor in whether I like a book or not. And this one? I felt it deep in my soul for sure.

My only complaint is the level of spice. They were high schoolers, so while it's always unnecessary, it felt extra unnecessary here (most of the time - there were a couple spots toward the end where it actually did help develop the story. Although, even there, I would've liked it to be slightly cleaner).

Oh my goodness...Oh my goodness...Oh my goodness! Colleen Hoover is my new favorite author, and Hopeless is my new favorite novel. Not since Twilight have I read a novel in one evening, but Hopeless is such a riveting story that it had me glued to my Kindle. A friend was reading it on the same night, and we were texting each other with our percentages read and "OMG"-ing and "Eeep"-ing all over the place. It really is just that good!
