My first reaction after finishing 'Hopeless' by Colleen Hover was to check out her other books and buy them all! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there would be like a gazillion other novels by her in the future. Yes, her writing is phenomenal!
There is nothing I could say that would do this book justice! It was a brilliant read! The story was sweet, soul-stirring, heart-wrenching, devastating, hopeful... it was overall utter perfection!
Sky and Holder will forever be one of the best and most swoon-worthy romantic duos I've ever encountered on paper! They were truly born to be by each other's side. Their love made my heart sing, dance and burst with joy.
“Fuck all the firsts, Sky. The only thing that matters to me with you are the forevers.”

I rated it 4 instead of 5 only because of how hard it was to read through certain sections due to the issues at hand. Otherwise, this is extremely well written and a very important story to tell.
JA. ich lese colleen hoover, weil ich ihre bücher mag und ihren schreibstil feier. so what? lasst jeden das lesen, was er lesen möchte. dankeschön!
I LIKE THE BOOKS, NOT THE AUTHOR!!

So turns out I guessed the twist wrong (), but the real twist still interested me. However I did feel like it took AGES to be revealed and all the incidental things that flowed down from the "big reveal" were just over in a jiffy. Definitely could have used some more depth.
UPDATE - 8/11/14. I just re-read this as I forgot I had read it before. I DEMOLISHED it. In like 2 hours. I want it all again!

Colleen Hoover her writingstyle is so addicitive! I just flew through this book because of that.
I did have some problems with this book though. It was just a bit hard to believe at times. For example; how some guy grabs Sky - our heroine - at school and they just decide to be best friends without even knowing each other. Or Holden his stalkery behaviour that seems to be okay by Sky because he is 'so hot'. Not a good message, right? The romance between Sky and Holden was a lot like insta-love which I don't really like. But the characters and the relationship between Holden and Sky developed great, and instead of finding the romance annoying it became a bit more adorable with a lot steamy scenes.
The plottwist was shocking and heartbreaking, it was overwhelming to read. I liked how all the puzzlepieces came together in the end, though the ending felt a bit rushed.
Overall I liked the story, the character development and especially the writingstyle, but I feel like it could have been better.

OMG. WOW. JUST WOW. Another amazing book by CoHo! I couldn't put this down! I started it last night thinking I've read this before because the names sounded familiar. But I realised I read the free book (hopeless 2.5) Finding Cinderella.. lol.
I couldn't put this book down. When they started out I loved their Chemistry and I knew Holder had some secrets but wow.. they were shocking! This book made me sad..ANGRY..and swoon all in one! The plot twists kept coming and coming! Sky slowly remembering her past and Holder knowing he knew her before.
♡ them looking up at the sky! And holding pinkies!
Fuck her dad. seriously.. and the plot twist with who Karen is?! o.O

As someone who has had the unique honor of sitting with survivors, I am so impressed with Colleen’s ability to depict the way trauma impacts the brain, particularly early childhood and developmental trauma. She describes dissociation, panic attacks, relationship anxiety, and somatic presentation of trauma without using clinical jargon and from the perspective of the survivor. It surely could be triggering for some AND in that same regard it could be incredibly validating. I really appreciated the inner child work she models in the characters. I am so invested in these characters and immediately started listening to the 2nd book in the series!
