I was thinking about this book in my sleep. I was talking about it with my husband and my friends and I was addicted. I had to keep reading to find out what was going to happen.
Sky and Holder and all the insane twists and turns of this book are so worth the time. Just do it.

It was hard to read. Not like- I couldn’t get through it. But that it wrecked me and made me so sad and was so deep and twisted. But I also loved the storyline and the true love aspect.

Boy that escalated quickly. I was a bit hesitant near the beginning and really thought Holder was a bit of a jerk. No matter the excuse, no one should use their seductive/sexual/attractive appeal power over someone else to make violent actions 'ok' or excusable. When Holder explodes near the beginning and then makes it ok by climbing through Sky's window to be with her? Yeah...not buying that. And then NOT apologizing afterwards and admitting straight up that he wont? Is that really romantic?
But I stuck with it and I'm very glad I did. Once we start to learn a little bit about Holder (meh) it starts to get interesting again, and once we learn more about Sky BOY HOWDY does it start getting good! This is where the story telling of Colleen Hoover really shines and each piece from the beginning starts to fit together. Right up to the very last page I had to applaud Hoover at the way everything just fit together like that.
And yes, the romantic bits scattered throughout are quite nice. There were a few times that even I blushed. This was also at the time when I thought Holder was a creep and wanted to kick his ass out of the house ASAP. But Sky seemed to be enjoying herself so I let it slide...

Deep, Twisted but Heartfelt romance novel
This book was such a page turner for me. I thought it was a very interesting plot, with moody characters (holder) and a lot of really good underlying messages about rumors/judging, bravery, and how you can hate someone and love them at the same time. I couldn’t have predicted this plot so always love that.
A story about a girl named Sky, how she falls in love with a boy named Holder. She learns about his past, her past and a whole new meaning is brought to the word hopeless.

*swoon* Really, can I have my personal Holder? Look, even his name is meaningful! *le sigh*
I was worried about this one because one of my friends here said that it wasn't anything special. Then I saw it and I just had to buy it. So I did. And got my ming blown.
I admit, I figured out the big secret thing after maybe 60-70 pages. Nothing could surprise me. But it got Holder and I could forgive that guy anthing. My will is that weak at the moment.
The best thing about buying this book is that now I can go back and read my favorite moments and swoon as much as I want. *dance happily around*
I'm not going to go and analyse Sky and her secret, because this book was worth it only because of Holder, and I don't want to ruin that with dark and darker, but I just have to say that the thing that Sky had gone through is really awful and sad. I can't imagine anyone doing that to their child, or sibling for that matter. It's just wrong...
