Amazing book. It made me laugh, cry, and sit on the edge of my seat. I could not put it down. I'm sad it's over.

As with most CoHo books, there were great characters, great story line, beautiful romance, and weighty topics. This book had twists and turns that I did NOT see coming (which I think is hard to do in romance novels) and handles tough topics with honesty, clarity, and grace. Well done (again), CoHo!
You could kind of tell from the beginning that there was something that Dean wasn't telling her so I wasn't surprised at all that he knew her as a kid. I didn't expect all that with Les though.

my new colleen hoover favourite! from the start to the end i loved every detail and loved that you didn’t quite know what was going to happen until it happened, although i did predict the ending with Karen after everything was revealed, but it was so so good, i just wish hope got to meet les and somehow reunite
Very slow to start but the last 150 pages make it worth it.
Wow, this book was intense. I could have done with a little less of the first half of the book and a little more of the action of the second half, but overall it was pretty hard for me to put it down.
what a ROLLERCOASTER. this book was so extreme on both sides of the spectrum so i settled with 3/5 starts right in the middle. tbh the beginning of this book was TRASH, like it could’ve been written by a middle schooler on wattpad, and if she said the title of this book one more time i was about to commit crimes. however, WOWZA. so many twists and turns that i literally could never have seen coming. it was honestly a little overwhelming; i had to take a break at some points. i’m still trying to process it all but holy wow. still debating on whether or not i should read the sequel so lmk in the comments.
Thoughts: Overall, I really enjoyed this book, and am looking forward to the rest of the series, however, I didn't really care for certain aspects of Holder and Sky's relationship. Specifically the beginning. It was hard to understand Holder's odd behavior towards Sky until halfway when you learn the truth of their past together.
