Mix of true crime and memoir. Really respect what the author did in research for this book and her commitment to solving the crime. Unfortunately, delivery was lackluster. Didn't like organization.

If you like anything true crime, you should definitely read/listen to this book. I listened to the audiobook and really enjoyed it. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I found it hard to follow since the timeline jumps back and forth too much. I had to look up a timeline of when/where the crimes happened which helped piece everything together at the end.
At only a quarter of the way through, I'm throwing in the towel. Given all the stellar reviews, I was ready to sink my teeth into this one. For one reason or another, that just wasn't happening. The decades long hunt for the Golden State Killer is really interesting, though, so I may pick up this volume again next year, or possibly try another author's take on this subject.
