Jag visste redan jag skulle älska den efter jag förut läst ”Britt-Marie var här” o älskat den o jag längtar till jag läser fler böcker av Fredrik Backman. Jag ÄLSKADE kapitelnamnen o jag älskade att annotera i den då det fanns så mycket fint och värdigt. Jag har aldrig i mitt liv läst en bok där jag känt så mycket kring innehållet. Ibland va den så dyster att jag ville gråta, ibland så rolig att jag garvade högt = värsta kombon. Den är så FKN BRA SKRIVEN.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My first read of the year… and wow, I’ve already set the bar way too high for 2025. This book wrecked me in the best way possible.

A Man Called Ove starts as a story about a grumpy old man who seems stuck in his ways, but it slowly peels back layers of grief, love, and humanity. It’s a beautifully written tale about the quiet ways we impact each other’s lives — and the unexpected bonds that can save us.

Fredrik Backman made me laugh, cry (a lot), and reflect on the small moments that make life meaningful. This is a book that reminds you that even the most ordinary people can be extraordinary.

A heartwarming, heartbreaking, unforgettable masterpiece. I can’t stop thinking about it — and honestly, it’s going to be really hard to follow this one up. 💔📖

Bro is like my dad but if he was older, didn’t have my mom or kids, and five of his personality traits were turned up to 100%. Honestly when I’m older I might give it a higher score if I were to reread it since I’d probably feel the emotions I was supposed to feel… if that makes sense

Ove is a curmudgeonly old neighbor…but he’s so much more than that.

This was my first read of 2025, and I’m so glad this was the way I started out my reading year. I think this may be one of the best books ever written, though it has also left me utterly bereft. Backman is a master of generating emotion through his words, and the amount of laughing and crying this book generated is simply astounding.

There is very little I can say about this plot without spoilers and I think everyone should (1) read this book and (2) read it with as little preexisting knowledge as possible, so I will keep this review very short. This is a masterpiece, and I’m so glad I finally read it.
