So far, this is the most contemporary book I've scheduled for reading. Originally published in 1977, its most recent printing was 2001, with a sequel published in 2014.

So what could happen if one were to meet a modern-day Messiah? Answering a question like that probably requires a bit of hubris - the kind that pilots and Mormon men seem to have in great quantity. It's still an entertaining story, following the frustrations of the Messiah's chosen disciple, who attempts to learn miracles that only seem to work when the Master is present.

I recommend it as a work of fiction that can make you think, but you won't find me trying to walk through any walls.

The narrator seemed incredibly dumbed down.

Esti liber sa faci absolut orice doresti, esti propriul tau Dumnezeu - si ceea ce vezi, simti, ceea ce e aici, doar iluzii.

I needed that. I love the simplicity and the wisdom of this book.

Un cuento acerca del crecimiento, si estás dispuesto a creer en la magia este libro puede ayudarte mucho

I have read this book many times and will probably read it many more times in the future. My dad recommended it to me, saying that it would be a book that would make me think. But he never said how or about what, yet he was right. And I believe it makes each of is think about something different - that's what I do every time I read this - and that's what makes this book so special. The relationship that is forged is one I hope everyone can relate to as well as the realization at the end. It's a great experience!
