First let me say Rom-coms are not my favorite genre. I do like them now & again after more intense reads though. I felt this book to be very quirky and had to make myself finish it. I did not like Daisy's character much at all. She had a ton of resentment that she was carrying with her through out much of the book. And I hated the descriptions of all her Avenger underwear. Lol seriously I felt like she was very immature.
Liam. I did like his character. His story of his upbringing closely resembled mine, so I could identify with him. Also he was a grown up who did not wear avenger underwear. He was the comedic part of the book though too and I enjoyed his sense of humor.
I think my absolute favorite parts of the books were the descriptions of the clients who brought Liam their inventions to sell. I laughed at the "Heash" for humans who want their dogs to walk them, the "Cougar Catch" a blend of aphrodisiacs such as asparagus, oysters, chocolate, baked beans, figs & apple juice. I'm sure that is exactly what older ladies would love to try! My absolute favorite though was the "Pot-ee" which was edible cannabis underwear. I thought Liam should take his samples directly to Daisy!! Hahaha
As with most Rom-Coms you know the couple ends up together & I was happy to see Daisy's character grow up a bit by the end of the book. I was also happy to see Liam reconcile his past as well. It was a sweet ending. I'm glad I can move on to a different book now though.

This was just the right book I needed in this stage of my life and I truly enjoyed this love story that started when they were younger and was rediscovered as adults. I loved Daisy as the strong female lead who is not afraid to be different and who she is! This book also follows a strong family from one side and a messy family on the other, work dynamics, and betrayal. All of these different topics really keep you reading and makes it so much more than your classic romance. The only thing about this book that I didn’t enjoyed and skimmed over were the

I liked this book (I mean fake dating trope with enemies to lovers vibes?!? Sign me up!!!), but I wanted to be obsessed with it and just wasn’t. At times it was fast-paced, steamy, and banter-filled, but the banter (and even the steam) often fell flat or felt clunky. Daisy, the main character, was a semi-relatable, type-A introvert but there was a heavy reliance on her being “different and weird” to the extent that it felt overdone (too much marvel for my taste). At the same time, the love interest was a bad boy (y’all know we love a bad boy), and there were intriguing mentions of mysterious past incidents throughout to keep you on your toes until the end (see TW below). The family dynamics were a trip, but be prepared to encounter a lot of side characters (sometimes felt like too many). I loved learning more about Indian culture, and ultimately, this was still a fun read with a satisfying ending (no loose ends), which bumped my rating up from 3 to 3.5. I’d say this is worth a read if you ~really~ enjoy fake dating romances and want something with a tidy ending.
TW: domestic abuse, abandonment, anxiety, panic attacks, accident

Equal parts cute and sexy. One of my favorite romance troupes is the “fake dating” troupe and I feel like this book delivered on that.
This was just okay. It could’ve been great if there had been a little more effort put into the plot/characters. The parts that were bad were literally so bad, which is a shame because I like the main character and the trope!!
4.5 stars. Very enjoyable with minor storyline complaints
I really wanted to LOVE this one. I wanted it to be five-stars screaming from the rooftops amazing. It didn't get there for me, but I still thought it was so adorable.
This was a mix of enemies-to-lovers and fake dating, which are two of my favorite tropes. I immediately loved Liam since I'm a sucker for a ~bad boy~ romantic interest. My favorite part of this was the multicultural relationship and how it played a role in their relationship. Daisy wanted to get her aunties off her back from trying an arranged marriage, and Liam needed to be married in order to inherit the family business. So: fake engagement.
I was rooting for their relationship the whole time, and I was smiling so much as I watched them realize their love for each other. The steam was just right (there's a broken bed involved), the banter was great, and most importantly, the amount of food description was *chefs kiss.* I just felt like the story is kind of forgettable. It's definitely a cute, quick romance that will satisfy your reading slump, but I don't think it will stick me.
