She had a crush on her brother’s bff, who was supposed to take her to the prom.
He didn’t show up.

Devastated, she hated his guts for the last ten years.

She randomly runs into him at a conference.

They hatch a plan to become fake married - b/c of his grandfather’s will and her family incessant matchmaking attempts.

Of course, they fall in love.

Call off the fake wedding

If you were stood up for a date, especially your Senior Prom, would you ever talk to that person again?

It’s been 10 years since Daisy was stood up by Liam to her Senior prom! She has not seen him since, until one day at a work conference he bumps into her. She She basically told him to go to hell...I mean he did stand her up for one of the biggest moments in your life!

Liam, a player, had his reasons for standing Daisy up but he couldn’t let her know the truth. His grandfather passed away and in his will he left Liam the families whiskey distillery...but only if he married before his next birthday, in 2 months!!

Daisy, whom approaching 30 and is an Indian, her family was desperate to find her a husband. Daisy being career driven didn’t want any type of commitment.

Liam pops back up to Daisy’s work and proposes to her and began working his pitch that it would be a fake marriage and could benefit them both. Daisy agreed and went to work on their dating plan.

Will this marriage of convenience take place and will they be able to follow the rigid dating plan?

Cute fake marriage trope. I enjoyed reading more about the Indian culture and all the food!! I love Indian food, but don’t get a chance to eat it nearly enough.

Lighthearted, fast paced, and 3-4 solid steamy scenes
I love a good rom com

It was good. It kept me interested and made my heart flutter. I both hated and liked the fact that I could feel things like the jealousy. I do think the main character was probably a little dense for how smart she it and the guy a little too stubborn maybe.

4/5 stars

I like this book considerably more than the first one. I felt like I connected more with both the mc and the love interest. I read this in a day on the beach and it was quick, funny, relatively spicy and just a good read.

tw: domestic violence, alcoholism, physical and emotional abuse

tropes: fake dating (engagement), brothers best friend, enemies to lovers

Breezy, fun, less “miscommunication-y” than a lot of these which I really appreciated.
