A cute and easy read. I could have definitely used an epilogue.

This book is adorable! The way that Daisy and Liam both encouraged each other to be the best versions of themselves and taught each other about self acceptance and embracing their own power was incredibly romantic. I also love that it explored aspects of both Liam and Daisy’s cultures, and explored both their relationships with food. I am definitely interested in reading more of The Marriage Game series!
Better than the first, but not feminist enough for me. Also, when main characters call a woman sweetheart to be degrading and then also call someone sweetheart once they’re winning them over, I hate it more every time the term is used.

some parts of this were so cringey corny unrealistic that i could’ve hurled (marvel underwear, pretend swordfighting in a clothing store, general dialogue). something about the characters and their relationships felt underdeveloped to me; i wanted more.
but i finished the book so maybe it wasn’t that bad. some bits did have me enthralled, but overall i think it just made me appreciate other books in the same genre a bit more.

It took me almost two months to finish this book (and to be honest, I skimmed the last 50 pages) because it just DID NOT hook me. This whole story felt like one of those “eh ok” rom com movies that did so-so in the box office during its opening weekend.
i love love love liam and daisys banter like literally top 10 for me
(plot was a bit random at points kinda like a fanfic but the ending kskdnsbwhsjw hell yeah they fell in love in the rain)
