This was pretty cute, but to be honest it had some cringey moments that literally made me uncomfortable. I liked Daisy’s vibe; she was fun. However, if you ask me about Liam… I can’t say I completely dislike him but I think he could’ve been better.
Ok this one was much better than the first book in the series and I even liked the female lead whom I didn’t like when she appeared in book 1. There was a lot of growth in terms of tropification. The desi culture was better integrated and added to the plot. I might end this series after all.

I am someone WHO LOVES contemporary romance novels, however...I had to force myself to finish this book. The writing just did not speak to me at all and was full of weird phrases and cliches. There was lots of growling (when do people regularly GROWL??), lots of sarcasm dripping off someone’s voice, and lots of skin prickling in warning...all of these phrases were repeated so many times I had to laugh.
I also didn’t love either of the main characters. Daisy is a programmer obsessed with getting into her “flow state” (another phrase repeated to death) and marvel movies. She’s smart, a quirky dresser, and overall the epitome of a “not like other girls” pick me girl.
Liam (aka Limb, as Daisy’s relatives call him) is.....an Irish playboy who wears a leather jacket and has a troubled family. I felt that they were both lacking a lot of depth and things that seemed like they should be central to their personalities were skimmed over at best.
Both characters suffered trauma in their family life while growing up, but instead of being in therapy, Liam has turned to motorcycles and Daisy has fixated on being stood up for prom despite being 27 years old. When I say FIXATED, I mean that she is able to recount the number of hours down to the second from when she was stood up to present day. This weird obsession with high school made it really hard for me to connect with the characters or the story since I felt like the premise just didn’t make sense.
