Daisy has a plan, to focus on her career. She not interested in love which means her family won’t be happy. Her aunties and father on the other hand are trying to find her a suitable partner. Liam had a different plan but the inheritance he thought he has has unexpected terms, he needs to get married by the end of the month. Which was not part of the plan. Now he has to find a partner in this scheme, enter Daisy. His childhood beat friends little sister who he betrayed back in the day and let’s just say she’s still holding a grudge. But together they make another plan.
I really enjoyed this one! It’s funny, romantic and who doesn’t love the fake dating trope. Daisy’s family, all the aunties and cousins make this book special. And the food!! Admittedly made me quite hungry but as a foodie I very much like that aspect. It’s part of their culture and I loved getting a glimpse of it.
Daisy is such a good fmc. She’s relatable, really strong but has her flaws and loves Marvel which creates some funny moments. She’s a badass woman with a badass job which we love to see. And her character really grows throughout the book. You can’t help but root for her (and Liam).
The one thing I wish was a bit different is the ending, it’s a bit predictable. But otherwise I absolutely loved it!

A lot of this was ok, but there was one thing in particular that really bugged me. The point of fake dating, or so I thought, was to convince everyone that you ARE in fact dating. I found it very odd how this couple told basically everybody that their engagement wasn't real. How does that work? And the few people they actually tried to convince didn't really believe them for the majority of the book. I liked the characters and watching them grow until the stupid third act conflict. Sigh. I get why she chose it, but it just got on my nerves.

Thoroughly enjoyed, very quick and easy. Some slightly cringy moments, and I wish Sanjay had more of a presence, but overall a great romance.

this was a classic rom-com book, with loveable characters. i laughed, i cried. i didn’t connect too deeply with the characters, but it was a heartfelt story with a lovely ending.
i obviously love fake dating, and i loved that it was a little different than most books with this trope. it made it so unique and much more loveable.
also the cover is just so dang cute and i love ittttt!!!
