It was fine. I don't know if it was the narrator or what, but it wasn't as thrilling as I expected. The initial concept is a bit weird (teenagers, really?) But I like the reveal and the end was amusing. It was REALLY annoying to listen to 30 straight seconds of 0s and 1s though (yeah, really 30 seconds straight). So I'd recommend for a YA sci-fi horror fan.

OOF That rating hurts since I really thought this would be a 5 star/favorite book of the year...
Yeah this book was a great premise but poorly executed. It was honestly kinda just a YA rip off of “The Thing”? Also it took too long for us to get to the actual moon, but also in that time didn’t develop ANY characters or relationships so I didn’t care about ANY of them or believe any romance at all. This also wasn’t spooky... at all... sooooo
Disappointed. That’s all.

J’ai eu du mal à embarquer dans l’histoire. Les premières 40 pages m’ont choqué à plusieurs reprises par des commentaires vraiment débiles sur divers sujets (les profs et la gymnastique).
Au départ, l’atmosphère était très similaire à Phobos mais en plus dark. Là où dans Phobos c’est le gros jeu télévisuel et le glamour à fond la caisse, dans 172 sur la lune on a des signaux qu’il va se passer de mauvaises choses dès le départ.
Ça prend beaucoup de temps à embarquer, je dirais que lorsqu’ils arrivent sur la lune, c’est là qu’on a envie de savoir ce qu’il va se passer.
J’ai été happée par un des revirements de la fin, mais le coup final était plutôt évident.
J’aurais aimé qu’il y ait une boucle faite entre le premier chapitre et la fin, le premier chapitre était si mystérieux que c’est décevant de ne pas avoir les réponses à tous ces mystères.
La notice de l’auteur à la fin est vraiment importante.

Based on other reviews I was expecting a terrifying Halloween-y read... But was disappointed. I thought this would be scarier?? I enjoyed most of the book but the characters were extremely underdeveloped and many plot points were insufficiently explored. Overall I'm left feeling confused instead of afraid.
This is one of my favourites and I´m so happy to see that it´s beeing translated. It´s a real creepy and well-written sci-fi-novel from the Moon. David Bowie´s Space Oddity would be a good soundtrack.

I could not put it down and the ending was absolutely terrifying. really really well done and I highly recommend.
