This book was so, so, SO good! It was super creepy and mysterious and engrossing at the same time. There were a few parts of the book that were freaking me out but I couldn't stop reading because I needed to know what happened next. The only negative thing I have to say is the love interest between two characters seemed forced and unnecessary.

Overall, this book is a great read and I definitely recommend it!

Well. I'm terrified now. Holy crap. I enjoyed this book, but I feel like the ending kind of went nowhere and the translation was a little odd; hence why I only gave it 2 out of 5 stars. HOWEVER, I definitely still recommend that you check it out. It was unlike anything I've ever read.

All I can say is, "What. The. Hell."

Actual rating 4.5

Holy frigging crap. This book is terrifying and suspenseful and unbeleiveable. The only thing is that it has a slow start. Other than that, it's amazing!

The Best Book I've Read So Far This Year. A Mixture Of Mystery And Horror, I Was On The Edge Of My Seat The Entire Time. Loved It.

Three teenagers (from Norway, Japan, and France) win a NASA lottery to spend one week on the moon. When they get there, things immediately start to go wrong. The premise of this book didn't make a lot of sense, but there were some very fun creepy scenes, and I liked the way Harstad dipped into characters across the world to give the novel a global feel (I particularly enjoyed the custodian in the nursing home -- his scenes were very effective in ramping up the creepiness).

It is really difficult to rate this novel. I didn't like the characters at all - they were such stereotypes and I didn't care for the love story. The decisions of the adult characters were strange from time to time and I kept thinking "Who would do that?".
But I did like the horror story (sadly the creepy part only really started during the last 100 pages). I could really imagine this book as a horror film.
adventurous dark mysterious tense fast-paced

Great sci-fi thriller with just enough horror elements. The ending left plenty of room for a sequel

This book is astonishingly bad. At first, I just thought maybe it was a bad translation. Nope. It really is terrible. Preposterous premise populated with flat characters and riddled with inaccuracies. Honestly, the only reason I made it to the end of the story was I was listening to it at work (I listen to a lot of audiobooks at work) and it was the only thing I had to listen to.
