I'm ready for this series to be over... I loved the first and second book, but I feel like I'm loosing interst in the plot, characters, relationships, etc as the series goes on. I thought this was the last one, but unfortunately there is one (?) more left to go...

4.5 stars. At this point it’s hard not to be enthralled into the storyline. The only piece I didn’t like as much was the amount of POVs that was introduced in this book.

I’m not sure I read the same book as the majority here, but I really enjoyed The Demon Tide. Sure, there’s cheeky, cheesy, mushy romance since the Lavender Moon occurs right before war, but it’s not gaggy. I thought Forest showed a very tender and vulnerable part of the eastern realm and they needed to embrace the light-hearted celebration.

I liked the stories of the new characters introduced and thought they all added important layers and POVs to the series. Especially Vothe and Viger.

There were several pleasant surprises that are going to be super important for The Dryad Storm. I’m hyped and can’t wait for the finale!

Filler book. Don’t the majority of the book talking about sub characters relationships. Would have liked more plot.
