THE BACHELOR AUCTION is a Cinderella-inspired story that manages to capture the whimsical nature of a fairytale, the sweetness of love, and the RVD factor of added sexiness. While reading you'll find little references to the classic story, and it's both charming and fun to experience it in this loosely-based adaption. But most of all, RVD makes it hers in every way she can and it's an enjoyable story from beginning to end.

This is a feel-good romance with a man forced into an unforgiving situation and the sweet woman who unwittingly crosses his path. Brock and Jane, brought together by the inconsiderate and aggressive people in their lives, had a forbidden attraction that sparked instantly, but was entirely unwelcome. The push-pull between the two and their inner conflict was delicious and satisfying. And can I mention the evil sisters? So many slaps needed for them. But Brock's brothers, on the other hand, were a great addition to the tale (and I'm hoping their stories will be on their way soon!).

So much imagination and invention went into this story to make it a modern-day Cinderella love story, but with it's own twist. RVD crafted a charming tale of a prince-like man and his hired maid that was spicy and well-written. It was almost a bit too sweet and long-winded near the end, but the sweetness fits perfectly for the kind of read it is. There is no angst and a lot of that happy love feel. I read it quickly and voraciously as it was easy to get into and a pleasure to read. THE BACHELOR AUCTION is a beautiful read with such a fun, engaging storyline--it is not one to be missed!

This was an adorable spin on a Cinderella romance. Jane was the perfect mix of Cinderalla and modern woman. She was introverted enough that I could easily relate to her hatred of going out on the town, but not so shy that she didn't stand up for herself when push came to shove. She even owns a cleaning company - a great modern twist on the theme - and loses a shoe along the way.

The downside was Brock (I think). The hero was great. I loved him and his family, although they got a bit over the to towards the end. It was the names that did this book in for me. Even by the end I couldn't keep the brothers apart. All with similar names that start with B, and we meet them within pages of each other. The similar names just sort of merged into one giant Wellington son instead of one older brother and two younger twins. I made a cheat sheet half way through so I could keep them straight. I didn't like it.

The story was a lot of fun. There were some sad moments as both Brock and Jane deal with their past and how it has changed the way they cope with the present. There are happy and laughing moments that I didn't want to see end. But the whole brother name thing just hung over it all.

I'm hoping that book two helps to separate the brothers a little more for me because they were all a lot of fun and I really want to see how their separate lives all intertwine as they find their love.

The Bachelor Auction is the first book in the Bachelors of Arizona series. I couldn't be a bigger fan of Rachel Van Dyken if I tried. I've read all of her books and I love them all for very different reasons. The Bachelor Auction is a little different Rachel book. Yes, this is a modern take on Cinderella but it's also more sexual and more adult than some of her other books.
Brock is trying to run his family business. He's thirty-five years old, but he's never let himself have fun. That's what his twin brothers are for. They are fun, crazy, womanizers who make Brock's life a living hell sometimes. Their grandfather comes up with a scheme to help the company with their publicity issues. A bachelor auction and Brock is the first to be auctioned off. On a rare night when he's not the usual boring Brock, he meets a sweet, beautiful stranger, Jane. She breaks her shoes and is whisked away by Brock. She can't help but be instantly attracted to him. His smell, his face, the caring way he handles her. And the way he gets her new shows. Really pretty, expensive shoes. But it's too much to take and she runs. Brock needs to find her. There's something about her that got under his skin and he needs to see her again. Jane runs a cleaning company and is hired for a job out of town. Just when she almost forgets about Brock he show ups where she's working. And he's not leaving. Their attraction grows more and more every day. He's sexy and has a dirty mouth, but he's no prince. So, Jane has to deal with sexy Brock, an ass, a cock and Brock's crazy twin brothers. Brock wants Jane. More than anything he's ever wanted, but he's about to be auctioned to the highest bidder. How is this his life? Being back in his childhood home is bringing back memories he doesn't want to face. Can Jane help him move on? Will Brock go through with the auction and leave Jane behind? I enjoyed this story. Brock and Jane have hilarious banter and I loved the twins. I might be looking forward to their stories more than I was looking forward to this one!

"You know, once you go Brock you never go back."
"It would be bad enough if there were only one of you, but there's two. Literally."

"Good, then you have two minutes to remove every stitch of clothing on your body and meet me in my room."
"What, no please?"
"Now. Please."

"Only a complete idiot would walk out of this room right now."
"Which is why it's so surprising you're still here."
"Cute."

"I thought so."

Are you a Rachel Van Dyken Fan? If you answered YES… then READ THIS BOOK…
I loved The Bet so much I have read parts out to my hubby.

This book for me had that kind of feel good, can’t get enough read to it. Even with the audio!!

Brock is the oldest brother who has twin brothers he seems to have to keep in line.. Only that’s a full time job that well doesn’t work frankly. Not only that but his grandfather is just as nutty. Which I LOVED!

Jane, just Jane takes care of her two older sisters because frankly they are useless. What you were thinking it!!
They walk all over her, and Jane feels like she has to keep the family together because that’s what her father would have wanted. Only I don’t think me meant for her to be taken advantage of.

When Brock sees Jane.. well let’s just say his life will never be that same again. And neither will her.
Lordy be this was a funny book. The wit and the sarcasm are awesome. I loved Brock's brothers, they had me laughing or chuckling throughout. .And don’t get me started on the Rooster or the Donkey.. haha

I loved the narrators!! Perfect voices to bring these characters to life in my ears I tell you.
I could be more pleased, an audiobook I will be listening to again let me tell you.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

This story was so freaking entertaining! I loved the flirty and fun vibe it had going on. Everything about it was awesome from the wonderful and endearing main characters, the flirty and sexy twin brothers, one seriously quirky grandfather and some hysterical farm animals. I pretty much inhaled this!

I loved Jane and Brock so much. From their first meeting I was hooked. I loved their back and forth banter while Brock figures out what he truly wants. Jane's feisty and spunky attitude was infectious. There were just so many awesome moments between the two, I enjoyed it all. They had such fantastic chemistry and heat but there was good bit of emotion and vulnerability mixed in with there budding romance. I honestly couldn't stop laughing and smiling from all their interactions. There were ups and downs and a bit of conflict but the majority of the story was light.

I loved getting to know Broke and Jane, watching them fall in love and stand up for themselves. But beyond those two, I thought this story had some of the best secondary characters ever. I loved the twins! They were so naughty and flirty but there is way more to them than meets the I and I cannot wait to read their stories. The grandfather though, this man was priceless and I liked how he meddled..

I loved all the details. The writing was so fantastic, I enjoyed the build and seriously couldn't get through this fast enough. Fantastic pace. I loved the short chapters and the alternating POV’s, it kept things moving along perfectly and made it exciting to read. It felt fresh even though it has the Cinderella retelling of sorts, I thought it was a solid story all on its own.

Pure entertainment that was sweet, sexy and charming. I adored every single second of this! It was the prefect feel good story with the best happily ever after. I highly recommend it!

Good. The characters were a little annoying at times. I get that Brock was going through stuff, but it was very uncalled for him to get mad at her at the littlest thing. Overall, it's ok
