Yes! I new series from RVD! And to me, this woman can do no wrong!

And with The Bachelor Auction, she has written a whimsical homage to Cinderella - complete with horrible sisters!

Jane has been the doormat to her two spoilt sisters for years. Gah, I wanted to shake some sense into her in the hopes that she would grow a backbone and tell these two witches where to go.

Then again, if it wasn't for the two beastly sisters, she would never have met her Prince Charming, the rich and beautiful Brock Wellington.

Actually, at times I wished that he would grow a pair and stand up to his grandfather! So they really were as bad as each other throughout!

But all of it is nothing when it comes to the two of them together -there is laughter and hijinx, sass and snark. And OMG the heat between them is through the roof.

And when Brock's brothers become more involved in things - things become awkward at times, but downright hilarious too. And what is it with Ms Van Dyken's characters and the trouble they have with animals.

The thing I was most excited about when the story progressed, and the name Titus was mentioned... would we see any of Grandma Nadine? And I am pleased to say she makes an appearance and is as outrageous as ever!

Through it all, I just hoped, needed to know that this Cinderalla had found her Prince Charming.

But to find out you will have to read for yourself.

Ms Van Dyken is one of my must read authors. It doesn't if she is writing her mafia boys or her romantic comedies, everything I have picked up I have adored.

Now I can't wait to see what she does with Brant and Bentley!

So the thing with trying to do a modern day Cinderella is what woman does this shit? Who would put up with such abusive sisters and cater to their every whim just because they're family? I call bullshit.

Brock Wellington has a hard time saying no to his grandfather, but when his grandfather wants him to auction himself and possibly find a bride. Brock puts his foot down, but his grandfather is one step ahead of him and gets him to agree. Then he meets Jane, plain Jane she calls herself at the event. She is sweet and definitely peaks his interest, but it can go nowhere with the auction looming.

Jane has taken care of her ungrateful sisters for years, they take her for granted but everytime she sticks up for herself they play the guilt card. When an opportunity presents herself to get her away from her sisters for three weeks, she takes it. She doesn't realize Brock is one of the inhabitants of the house, nor does the man she thought was sweet present himself. Initially she thinks Brock is a jerk, yes of her dreams, but a jerk none the less. When she spends time with Brock and learns more about she realize there is much more to Brock than she thought and she is falling hard. With the auction planned and his Grandfathers interference both feel like they are going to be torn apart. Can these two people from different worlds find a way to stay together.

As always Rachel Van Dyken does not disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Witty, naughty, and a retelling of one of my favorite classics. I loved Brock's brothers, they were bumbling idiots bt so much fun. I felt for Jane, she is beautiful in more ways than one but has been kicked so many times by her sister she doesn't even realize it. Looking for a rainy day read to snuggle in a blanket too, pick up Bachelor Auction.

Brock Wellington is a yes man and afraid to say no after serious events happened after her has previously said no to family members. Now he is being forced by his grandfather to participate in an auction where he himself is the prize. In order to build up the suspense surrounding the auction his grandfather forces him to spend time at their family ranch.

Jane runs "Cinderella Cleaning" after the death of her parents. She struggles to keep her and her sisters bills paid while constantly cooking and cleaning up after them. When she is offered 30 thousand dollars to clean up a house to get it ready for people to move in she takes the job.

Now dealing with the guilt of leaving her sisters unprepared and a broody roommate she wasn't expecting Jane wonders if the money is worth it. As Brock and Jane deal with the tension between them and the interference of Brock's brothers Bentley and Brant, will the two be able to focus on themselves for a chance or will they both cater to the needs of others first?

I really enjoyed this book and the idea that it's hard to say no to family members, even at the expense of your own happiness. Both Brock and Jane felt that they couldn't say no to those in their families and just went along with everything.

Brock linked the most difficult moments in his life to times when he said no or thought for himself and wasn't prepared to say no anymore. Even though he was unhappy with what was going on around him he was afraid to say how he felt. Yet at the same time he had no problem voicing his displeasure to Jane! I liked Brock as he had so much internal conflict but just didn't know how to deal with it.

Jane was a door mat to her sisters and I couldn't believe how much she put up. I thought she was the oldest so I was so surprised that she wasn't with the guilt she felt over feeling that she needed to keep everyone together. I was shocked at the behavior of her sisters and the little respect that they gave her. I was glad that Jane stuck up for herself with Brock but she still put others ahead of herself.

I loved the twins Brant and Bentley! They were so much fun and I can't wait to see what Nadine has in store for them in the next books! They provided so much humor and mischief!

This is a riff on the Cinderella story, Jane the hard-working older sister who has a cleaning business looks after her two sisters who are lawyers but permanently in debt and incapable/unwilling to do anything to keep the family home clean and food on the table. I say "ditch those bitches".

Brock is also the eldest (and only responsible one) of three brothers. Wracked with guilt over his parents' deaths when he was a child his brothers are total manwhores while he does anything and everything his grandfather asks - no matter how unreasonable. When his grandfather announces that they will auction a date with Brock (and marriage potential) for charity Brock is horrified but resigned.

Jane and Brock meet, her shoes break and he buys her a new pair of designer shoes.

Brock and Jane were too perfect and self-sacrificing, their siblings too appalling and the plot too unbelievable. I just couldn't read any more.

I received a free copy of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

This was a good book to read. I enjoyed Getting to know Jane and Brock. This book is about a woman named Jane who gets taken advantage of by her sisters. This story is set up like a modern day Cinderella story but in a more grown up fashion. Brock's grandfather thinks it's time for him to settle down. His grandfather wants to auction Him off at their annual ball. The lucky woman who bids on him than will become his wife. Brock's twin brothers will make you laugh at their antics. They are the typical younger siblings who like to cause trouble and aggravate Brock. This story will keep you up all night reading it because you have to find out what happens next. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

This book was awesome!

I absolutely adored the Cinderella theme that the book was written on.

Jane runs a cleaning business that she has taken over from her father. She lives with her two mean sisters, Essence and Esmeralda, who rely on Jane to do all the cooking and cleaning. Sound familiar?

Brock Wellington, helps run his grandfather's business and basically does anything he can to make his grandfather happy. It doesn't matter that he's not happy running the business, it's what is expected of him and it keeps his Grandfather happy.

Brock's grandfather needs to keep the shareholders happy and because Brock's two twin brothers are always in the limelight for the wrong things, Brock's grandfather decides to hold a bachelor auction. Brock being one of the bachelors on the block.

There were a few times during the book that I wanted to smack Brock upside the head but in the end he redeemed himself.

This was an emotionally packed book that had both characters really dealing with the demons of their past. You learn a lot about the reasons why they act the way they do which really kept intrigued.

I highly recommend this book and can't wait to read the next in the series!

A sweet and fun take on the Cinderella fairytale full of humor, romance and brotherly banter, The Bachelor Auction hits all the right notes.

I love a brooding, sexy man and Brock was the best version of that. The combination of his serious, loyal nature and his inability to say no due to guilt and fear stemming from the loss of his parents as a young boy was both admirable and heartbreaking.

Jane is also loyal to her family to a fault and watching her sisters take advantage of her was frustrating to say the least. Always feeling plain and invisible the last thing Jane expects is the attention of a sexy billionaire but when the two of them stumble into each other by accident, the sparks flew.

Enter a meddling grandfather and his accomplices, Brock's twin brothers Bentley and Brant, and you have a recipe for a messy, but amazing adventure. The banter between Brock and his brothers had me literally laughing out loud. I kind of fell for Bentley as hard as I fell for Brock and can't wait to read his story next.

If you like very low angst, hilariously inappropriate humor and classic romance then you should absolutely pick up this book.
