It reminded me of "Guncle" really, with the surprising depth of content amidst witty banter. Throw in some estranged family dynamics and personal growth, along with an English setting, and you've got a winner here!

end of year roundup, wow i really did not keep anything up to date in 2021
i liked this book a lot!! the beginning was ROUGH to get through for me because i did not expect

one of the characters to die

. i simply did not see that coming. there were several other twists i didn't expect to see in this, but i thought overall it was well executed and very engaging.
