I didn't finish the third book because I'm bore of it. I liked her Knitting in the City and Winston Brothers series so I had high expectations in this but nah. It may be because when it comes to romance, I only like the process of them getting together. That's why I don't read romance that's in a series. Like the whole series is about the two of them, it gets tiring.

But Mona likes Moby Dick and that's the book I'm trying to read now. I only read the first page before I read the Law of Physics.

Loved the story line but the story is drawn out too much to make it 3 books! Its a simple romance story, no mystery involved. After reading 50% of the book I skimmed the rest. Will skim the other 2 books to finish the story.

How to read a book you have waited so many years for (about 4) without having your huge expectations keeping you from really enjoying the book? It's really difficult, but Penny knows how to get you from the first page and makes you forget all your expectations. Mona, for me, is a younger version of Jane (from Neanderthal Seeks Human). Without a proper filter, she is always saying crazy things and her thoughts are better yet! Her conflict on what do to, and her loyalty to her sister make her a great character. About Abram, it's interesting meeting the Abram from before we met him from the first time in the Elements of Chemistry trilogy. I think they can form a really great couple, and it will be interesting to see how Mona will get out of her deception. Only one month to wait, right?

This was my second time with this book, this time listening to the audiobook. I forgot how much I loved it. Mona's character is so deeply real and I love the way physics makes its way into the thematic material and Mona's understanding of the things that happen to her. This book is the perfect condition of swoony, angsty and nerdy.

I devoured this book, it was so good. I had no trouble connecting with Mona, I loved her character. She was witty, brilliant and also socially awkward. I am also smitten with Abrams, oh boy he was great. I loved that he called her his muse (~swoon~), and knowing he is a musician that's a significant indicator on how he felt about Mona! The writing of this book flow so well, I was hanging on every word. I love how the book slowly revealed Mona’s character and the reason behind her personality and lifestyle.

This book also talked about the consent debate, and briefly touched on why many do not report sexual assaults. And the assumption of males cannot be the victim of sexual assault. These are important issues that align with current social problems. I thought it was nicely written and help bring more awareness.

I can't say I'm a fan of a cliffhanger, even though Penny had warned us ahead of time, but I still had a mini freak out when this book ended. Mona and Abrama have great chemistry together, and I cannot wait to read the next book of the series!

I am a fan of Penny Reid, but something in this one just didn't draw me in like they normally do. I'm not sure if I thought it was too slow, too repetitive, too something.

I'm glad I read it, and really enjoyed the next one in the series, so this was just an anomaly, I'm sure.
