I haven't read the final Elements book Heat, and I have such terrible bookzheimer's that I have completely forgotten who Abram is - but that did not affect my reading of Motion.

I adore Mona and Abram's story. I gotta say, there were a couple of characters in the first couple of chapters that I thought I was going to t want to throw my kindle at -gees, they got to me! But some of them were a little bit better as the story progresses - but not all of them.

I loved the snark and banter between our lovelies. Even knowing what is going on between the, you can feel the push/pull. And the sexual tension leaps off the pages.

I laughed out loud at times, particularly with Mona. I so want to be friends with her.

I knew this book was going to end on a cliffhanger, however I was completely engrossed in this story, until BAM - I had hit the end.

Thankfully we don't have too long to wait until the next book, however I am sitting here, wondering, waiting, needing to know what happens next.

It was… how do it put it?? Unbelievably silly? I didn’t like any part of the story. Didn’t like the sisters not the friend. Did I like Mona?? Yeah kind off. Did I like Abram… this is a YES. Not the looks part but just his character.

None of the story makes sense whatsoever. I mean. It’s just one week. If it wasn’t book, things would have been completely different. But as it is a book and romance at it… they spent 6 days and they are head over heels. 6 days. They are 18 and 23 or some shit. 6 days. Ok then.

I like Penny Reid. I read the other books in this series years back. I don’t remember anything and no names ring a bell still It didn’t make any difference.

I am still going to read the other books. It’s not because the cliffhanger is killing me… just because I need a “good” easy read. Even if this is not great I trust Penny Reid enough to know she makes stuff interesting enough to carry on.

I voluntarily read an early copy of this title.

I had no idea what to expect going into this series, as I have yet to read the Elements series, and this is a spin-off from that, I believe. Please note, this can be read without reading Elements, as this made complete sense to me, so reading Elements before this series is not a requirement.

I can't say that I really connected with any of the characters in this, and I absolutely hated some of them at the start (secondary characters). They did however, grow on me by the end of the book.

The premise of the story is a good one, even if slightly predictable at times. Twin swap to cover for the twin that is in trouble, should be easy right? Not necessarily, when these twins don't spend too much time together and have polar opposite personalities.

Mona covering for Lisa feels like its going to end all kinds of badly, and some things do happen in this book that are, yes, predictable, but also other things, were totally unexpected. I knew this was going to have a cliffhanger ending going in, but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I feel that it's left open nicely for the second book to continue.

I want to learn more about these characters, even if I don't really connect with them, and there are definitely some past things between the twins that I want to discover the answers to.

Book 2 will be interesting...

I loved Mona’s inner monologue - she was so funny and intelligent, but of course she was because she’s a genius but also so innocent despite her pragmatism and logic and as a result of this - so detached from her emotions. So, so detached, that she doesn’t realize that she’s falling for Abram.
Abram, is principled and hates liars so of course this part of their story doesn’t end well.
Marie’s cameo at Abram’s mom’s bday party was lovely - and how Mona reactedto meeting then and wanting to be adopted.

I read the first two chapters and now I really need this book! It is constantly in the back of my head as a teaser.

Omgosh. Penny has outdone herself again. I love Mona and Abram!!!!

Penny Reid's heroines follow such similar formula- quirky socially awkward who misunderstand everything the hero does. And he is mysterious and broody. After a while her books tend to blend together.

This one just didn't work for me- lying or hiding identity is not my favorite and nothing much happens in this one. And the pacing was so slow. I think these books can easily be combined into one.

I might finish it as I am curious how this pans out and I have the audio. But not her best work.

Mona is a genius, working on her PhD at age nineteen, but when her identical twin sister gets arrested, she rushes home to take her place. Abram, her brother's best friend and the guy meant to babysit the bad twin sister, doesn't know the difference but finds himself attracted.
I admit I thought the plot a bit silly. but the two lead characters saved it. Abram is more devil-may-care compared to Mona's serious attitude, but that's what made them interesting as they start to change the other's viewpoints. I did find Gabby irritating, but still a good story. Now I'm curious to see where the next book goes.

DNF. I got half way through and gave up. Mainly from personal preference. I didn't like the odd storyline and the deceitful behavior going on with the main characters. I didn't like the instant love and attraction. It works in some books, but not this one. Also, I couldn't connect with the characters.
