What an incredible read. Was recommended this book by the Deaf community online, and it didn’t disappoint. I enjoyed the story as a story, and as a story about the Deaf community and their challenges. This story made me miss my college ASL classes and want to learn more ASL, and deepened my already deep passion for Deaf advocacy as a hearing ally. I read this book in one day because I couldn’t put it down. A definite 5/5.

When I finished this book I turned right back to page 1 to read it again. Being deaf it’s rare to see an accurate version of myself in literature and this book was spot on. I’ve never felt so seen by a novel, I’m absolutely in love with this book.
